Main Factor that MCU missed out about Thor after Ragnarok.

Thor The God of Thunder

Thor also known as The God of Thunder, and probably now everyone might be calling him the strongest avenger because he was the only one who was able to land a major strike on the mad titan Thanos. However, before all of that would happen, Thor went on a quest to find the Infinity stones but realized that Asgard was in jeopardy and the Prophecy of the Ragnarok was looming on to the people of Asgard. To abstain from such catastrophic disaster he decided to put an end to the root cause of Ragnarok i.e Surtur.

There is nothing impossible to the God of Thunder when it comes to sheer strength and power, his courage and bravery are exemplary. He did find the Surtur and beheaded him with the mighty strike of his Mjölnir  and took his head to the Asgard, where it was locked it in the Asgardian vault. Although, Thor tried his best to avoid the Ragnarok, but the real enemy surged after the death of Odin and broke out of the prison which had kept her holding for a very long period of time. She was the first born of Odin, sister of Thor and Loki, Goddess of death, Hela.

We all cannot forget how effortlessly Hela destroyed the beloved hammer of Thor, Mjölnir. Thor wouldn't understand what just happened as he saw his hammer crushed into pieces. From that point onward's in the movie Thor: Ragnarok, Thor went on to a journey of self discovery. Where at many instances he found himself in trouble but didn't have the hammer to unleash his powers and fly his ass off😀.

The major attraction of the marvel shortest movie Thor: Ragnarok was the fight between the most strongest characters in marvel universe i.e Hulk vs Thor. Even though in the fight Thor didn't have his Mjolnir, he gave a hard time to the Hulk but the rage of the Hulk was so furious that he started to heavily pound his fist on the face of Thor. About to get unconscious, the mighty Thor unleashes his power and gave a Thunder punch to the Hulk that he got aw struck by it. Well we all know what happened later so lets jump to the fight were Thor faced Hela.

At the denouncement of the movie Thor was having trouble to overpower his sister. Hela effortlessly fought with Thor and in fact she ripped off the right eye of the Thor. Thor was helpless, and was not able to do anything but watch his people fighting army of zombies and dying in vain. He already had lost all the hope that is when he meet his father, saying "I cannot defeat Hela and i'm nothing without my Hammer". To which Odin replies "Are you Thor The God of Hammers??, Hammer was just to control your powers, focus it".Thor contemplated on the thought and regained his strength and struck Hela with largest lightning blast in the history of lightning.

Yes, i do agree that defeating Hela was not possible as she grew stronger as long as she stayed on the land of Asgard. And the most amazing fact about the movie was that the Thor discovered his true potential and powers. However, coming to the present scenario in the Avengers infinity war, it was not portrayed properly  that the Thor uses his realized powers on Thanos and fought him with all his strength, without the help of his hammer. Instead Thor was defeated miserably by Thanos, also his friend Hemidall and  brother Loki were killed in front of his eyes. Thor's Hammer surely alleviate his strengths and fighting ability. However, i feel somewhere the self discovery of his unprecedented powers which was made in the Ragnarok should have been showcased in the battle of  Avengers Infinity War.

All been said, there is no doubt that Avengers Infinity war is at its best. It is difficult to give priority to individual character when you have to deal with almost 70+ characters and keep the story line coherent. Finally, when Thor got his new hammer The Storm Breaker forged from the heat disseminated by the Dying Star in Nidavellir, it was one of the best moment in the movie. And somewhere i have to agree to this point that, Thor was definitely going to need a powerful hammer to fight against the Thanos who has all the infinity gems under his control.

Thank you very much for taking out your valuable time for reading out my post and please share your views about the Thor's power and his new Hammer The Storm Breaker.
